Vineland Music Festival

South Jersey is buzzing with the huge announcement of the Vineland Music Festival.
Word on the street was that Philly was going to get it’s own festival; but the city didn’t pass it, so Vineland received the honor instead.
The three day event will take place on August 8-10, 2008 and will be brought to us by Festival Republic (who puts on the legendary Leeds and Reading Festivals) and C3 (who do Lollapalooza and the Austin City Limits Festival). Needless to say, we’re in good company.
I can’t wait to see the line up, but I’m betting that it will be a good one. I’ve already seen bands like Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Foo Fighters being thrown out there. Also, the festival is supposed to have over 100 bands!
Sure, traffic may be a pain, but there’s finally going to be a festival in my background. I can’t wait.

Well, good. It’ll be nice for you to have a cool festival in your neck of the woods. Although, I do find it odd that there’s no line up mentions yet at all at the website. But with over 100 bands they can’t all be stuff like spice girls. Can they even fit 100 bands in your town — don’t you live in a tiny little place?

Well, it’s about 20 minutes away from me; however, we have lots and lots of farms. This show is going to take place on farm that is around 600 acres. And, yes, I live in a tiny hick town and desperately want to get out, lol.
I’m just happy that the east coast is finally getting a decent festival.

That’s funny you want out. I lived in a town with maybe 300 people in Humboldt and miss it every day. I hate the city; traffic, noise, pollution, etc. I guess I’m trying to get back into the little town. You might miss your little town you know.

I’m a small town person too, I could never live in a city. I just want out of this town…and Jersey too.
