Love Pearl Jam, love Italy, but I actually do not love concert movies so much. Unless this has other aspects (I haven’t heard too much about it). I think it gets a little dull watching a concert on TV although, I did used to like watching Unplugged so what’s with that?
I like docs better than concert flicks. I was thinking that the new Stones doc sounded boring and then I saw the preview and now I really want to see it.

I agree. But, there are some very cool concert dvd’s, like the Stones Rock ‘n’ Roll Cicus, but that was a one of a kind show. I usually just can’t sit down in my loving room and watch a concert, it’s kind of lame. Music docs are so much more entertaining, like Pearl Jam’s Single Video Theory and Imagine.
I will say that Pearl Jam tries to add other goodies to their dvd’s. Their Touring Band DVD had the music videos for “Oceans” and “Do The Evolution” and some backstage footage. They also had some extra stuff for Live at the Garden, but it wasn’t nearly as good as Touring Band.
I think this dvd has some backstage footage and interviews with the band. I do like how the band usually puts several performances onto a DVD. It’s a little more interesting than just footage from one show. I wish the band would do some really huge live DVD, like a performance from every city. That would be nuts!
As for Unplugged, that was cool because it was a special show. It was seeing a band perform like you’ve never seen them before, so that made it cool. I never really cared for the regular live concerts on MTV though.
