Last night STP officially returned!
The band performed a 30 minute intimate gig for lucky contestant winners and industry folks at the Harry Houdini Estate in L.A.
The show was used as a platform to announce the huge 65 date tour for this summer and fall. Also, guitarist Dean DeLeo told the crowd that the band would […]

Velvet Revolver has made a not so shocking announcement today.
The band announced that they have booted frontman Scott Weiland from the group.

Here’s what Slash had to say: “This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn’t 100% committed to either.” Slash […]

According to Slash, Stone Temple Pilots are going to hit the road this summer.
Slash broke the news to Billboard, stating that once Velvet Revolver wraps up their current tour, frontman Scott Weiland is going to rejoin STP. However, Slash still wants Velvet Revolver to record their third album, which would be the follow up to last year’s Libertad.
Last […]

Ok, I’m back on an STP kick, so let’s revisit the FYI I did on them from last August.
FYI: Stone Temple Pilots
Until next time enjoy “Kitchenware & Candybars”, which is one of my favorite STP songs, from VH1’s Storytellers.

Since I love Peanuts and STP, it’s only fitting that I would dig this Christmas tune; which happens to be one of my all time favorites.
STP’s version was recorded live back on December 19, 1994 for KROQ’s Almost Acoustic X-Mas show in L.A.
Scott proves how great of a singer he is and Dean DeLeo accompanies this with some smooth guitar […]

I think that this is a fitting Halloween song from one of my favorite bands, STP.
“All in the Suit That You Wear” appeared on the band’s 2003 greatest hits compilation, Thank You. It actually got some decent radio airplay as well.
The song was originally intended for 2002’s blockbuster Spider-Man soundtrack, however, it lost being the […]

The current Velvet Revolver/Alice in Chains tour isn’t the first time that the members of VR have been tied up with a Seattle band. It’s a long and interesting road…
On September 29, 1992 AIC releases Dirt and STP with Core.
In 1995 Weiland’s side project The Magnificent Bastards covered “How Do You Sleep?” and the Layne […]

This was STP’s third, and in my opinion, their best album from 1996. While Core was a decent debut and Purple remains a classic; Tiny Music established STP as one of the best bands from the 90’s. The album was, and still is, incomparable to the rest of STP’s catalog.
Scott traded in his rougher […]
