Bright Eyes @ The Grand Opera House

by User Imageacostill on November 15th, 2007

This past Monday, November 12, I checked out Bright Eyes at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington, DE.

It was a pretty awesome show. The Grand Opera House is just a splendid venue. I would love to catch another show there in the future.

The main man in the band, Conor Oberst, kept reminding the crowd that this was the band’s first time in Delaware and that if they played Hawaii, then they would have played all fifty states in this “beautiful, but sick country”.

If you ever have a chance to check out Bright Eyes you should. The band sounded great live as they went through the band’s catalogue.

My favorite part of the night was when the band covered Tom Petty’s “Walls” during the encore. It was a pleasant surprise.

Here’s the set list:

I Must Belong Somewhere
We Are Nowhere And It’s Now
Another Travelin’ Song
Spring Cleaning
If The Brakeman Turns My Way
You Will….
Four Winds
Arc Of Time
Old Soul Song
Poison Oak
True Blue
Method Acting
A Song To Pass The Time

ENCORE:
Lua
Walls (Circus) [Tom Petty Cover]
‘Roosevelt Room’
