Rage Against The Machine Adds Minneapolis Show
Fresh off of causing some mayhem this past weekend at Lollapalooza, the guys in Rage Against The Machine have added another single show here in the States.
The band will play the Target Center in Minneapolis on September 3. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. and will cost you $60.
What’s rather significant about the date and location of this show is that it’s during the same time of the Republican National Convention, which will be held next door in St. Paul. Hmm, this sounds good. Real good.
This isn’t the first time that Rage has popped up during a major political party’s convention. Back in 2000 they crashed the Democratic National Convention in L.A., which ended in the police setting off some tear gas.
In related news, on September 1 at St. Paul’s Harriet Island, Rage guitarist Tom Morello will join country/rocker Steve Earle at a union rally. This happens to be the first day of the RNC. So, it looks like folks in the Minneapolis area going to get a lot of Rage Against The Machine in September.
Here’s a rough video of “Killing in the Name” from this past weekend’s Lollapalooza.
