I’m sure there is more to it, like Eddie feeling like a piece of meat or something like it. Maybe he felt used.

I’m not a huge fan of “Jeremy” either, but there is a cool live version entitled “New Jeremy” (how clever) that is kind of neat. You can find it on YouTube. Yup, I was talking about that acoustic version from the e-mail, man I love it.

I listened to it again with your jacket story in mind and I guess it partially makes sense, although, the song is a little overly depressing for a jacket / people copying your look issue I’d say. But, you’d know the background, so I’ll have to take your word for it.

You know, don’t hate me but I can’t stand Jeremy. I always thought it was the worst Pearl Jam song ever, still do. I do however remember the jacket in the video, so maybe the jacket’s a bigger deal than I would have thought. I’ve been meaning to check out the version you emailed about so if it’s the acoustic deal, it’s on my to do list.

You know there have been so many articles comparing Pearl Jam to the Dead. There was one interview with one of the guys from Pearl Jam, I think it was Stone, where he said that they actually went and met up with the Dead’s management, or something like that, just to learn how they operate business. So, Pearl Jam has taken some of the Dead’s tricks when it comes to selling their merchandise and such.

Anyways, I’m not as bad some fellow fans, who have traveled many miles to Pearl Jam. I’m talking about going across oceans! I wish I had the funds to that. If they weren’t playing MSG I would have went to Boston to see them, but anytime they come to the Philly area I am so there. A Seattle show will also have to happen for me at some point.

Live at Benaroya Hall is a fantastic album. Man, I wish I was at the show.

“Corduroy” is great, even if it gets played out. It’s actually about people trying to copy Eddie’s fashion style once the band made it big. It specifically refers to the corduroy jacket he wears in the “Jeremy” video, which he got a thrift shop. Anyways, after that video he saw almost the same jacket selling at departments stores for a ridiculous amount of money. So, it inspired him to write a song. Of course, I can see the song having meaning in dealing with a relationship, cause you’re right, it’s not really that happy. You should really check out the acoustic version, it’s even more a downer.

You are so funny – like a dead head or something. I had no clue people just follow PJ around like this. I guess, people follow all kinds of bands. You’d be proud, I actually have PJ news. Since I set up iTunes, I got this CD from a friend – um, Live at Benaroya Hall, which I’d never heard, and so I’ve been listening to that a lot.

Also, in sort of lame PJ news I can’t stop listening to Corduroy, which I never liked when it came out, but all of a sudden I adore it. Is that weird? It’s weird huh. It doesn’t seem like a very happy song though.
