Bush – Swallowed
Bush may not have been one of the best bands from the 90’s, but they did have some decent songs, which includes “Swallowed”.
“Swallowed” was the first single from the band’s 1996 sophomore release Razorblade Suitcase. It then spent 7 consecutive weeks on top of Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks, which is pretty amazing to me cause there was a ton of great music released in 1996, like STP – Tiny Music, Pearl Jam – No Code, Soundgarden – Down on the Upside, R.E.M. – New Adventures in Hi-Fi, Weezer – Pinkerton, etc.
Anyways, I’ve always liked this song. It’s catchy in a straight forward way and is a bit different then the songs from Sixteen Stone.
I actually forgot about “Swallowed” until a couple of days ago when it randomly came on and now it’s stuck in my head. The more I listen to it the more I like it. Maybe it’s a guilty pleasure, but I think it’s a good tune.
Judge for yourself by checking out the video.

Honestly I think that was the best song from Razorblade suitcase. That album just didn’t offer as much as sixteen stone did.
You know what band is still big in NC is Candlebox. They play a lot of candlebox on the radio down here.
Ok, I had friends who would give me total grief for liking Bush. But I have to admit; I don’t turn them off when they come on the radio.
I agree with both of you.
Scott, I can’t believe Candlebox is still big anywhere, lol. I pretty much forgot all about them. Live and Collective Soul seem to have a decent following in the Philly, Live is obvious cause their from PA.
