The Black Crowes New Album and Tour

The Black Crowes will be releasing their new album, Warpaint, on March 4 and are going to perfrom a series of one-night stands in support of it.

Warpaint is the first studio album from the Crowes in seven years, their last effort was 2001’s Lions. You can listen to the first single from Warpaint, “Goodbye Daughters of the Revolution” on their site right now.

The band also announced that they will play the album in it’s entirety, as well as selected songs from their back catalogue and even some surprises.

The Crowes kick off their tour on March 2 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ and will hit New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, The South by Southwest Festival in Austin, L.A. and San Francisco before heading overseas. The band also plans to kick off a major tour in May.

Don’t know about you, but I’m excited about a new Black Crowes album, it’s been too long without new music from them.

Just looked into the prices for the Newcastle gig down here in Australia.

I’m sorry, I love the Crowes but I am not paying $120 for a theatre ticket. I think they’ll be very dissappointed with crowd turnout with those prices.

Wow, that’s not right. That’s highway robbery, which sucks because the Crowes do put on a great show.

I didn’t bother checking in to prices for the shows in the States, because there wasn’t a show that close to me, but maybe I’ll check them out when they come back around.
