Silverchair North American Tour
Remember the lads from Australia named Silverchair? Well, many may have forgotten, but the trio is stronger than ever, even if not here in the States.

They just kicked off a North American tour in California in support of their 5th album, Young Modern, which hits stores on July 24. This is the band’s first full North American tour since 1999, which is hard to believe. Silverchair’s 2002 album, Diorama, was almost a masterpiece, so I can’t wait to get my hands on Young Modern. The band’s current tour will be in small venues and will also include an appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza. If you have the chance, check Silverchair out they’ve grown into a remarkable band that keeps getting better and better.

I’m afraid not! See my story at http://ozmusicscene.com/silverchair-reschedule-us-shows/ for an update on this one
That would explain why they have those CA dates in November, but the rest of the tour looks alright, according to Silverchair’s site and Ticketmaster. Thanks for the update though.
It’s my understanding that Daniel was given doctor’s orders not to sing for the next four to six weeks, which would mean the July dates are all cancelled. It’s certainly a story worth following though!
Actually, the doctor’s verdict was 4-6 days off, so it does look like he’ll be able to play Portland if all goes according to plan – my apologies!
Oh wow, that’s not good. I was hoping to see them. Thanks for the follow up, I’ll investigate. BTW, have you listened to Young Modern? I’ve been patiently waiting for the U.S. release, which is next week, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it, because what I’ve heard so far sounds great.
